Coastal North San Diego County is one of the best places to live in the U.S. That's because, in addition to its resort-like atmosphere, its climate is nearly identical to that of neighboring San Diego which has the Best Year-Round Weather in the World.

Our winter daytime temperatures are in the 60’s (°F), winter nights in the 50’s and summer highs in the high 70’s. The afternoon relative humidity is usually in the 55-65% range. Some mornings are overcast, but the sun still shines approximately 68% of the time possible. We have few thunderstorms and no hurricanes. Damaging hail and tornadoes are almost unheard of here and we have few mosquitoes and other bugs.

Many outdoor activities are available including: surfing, boating, sailing, fishing, running, hiking, camping, attending horse races, hot air ballooning, attending the county fair and home and garden shows at the Del Mar fairgrounds and playing at top-rated golf courses. Our Coastal Towns and Cities also provide a variety of diverse shopping opportunities, a wide selection of cafes and fine restaurants and a choice of excellent medical facilities.
