Its Great Location- The town of Lake San Marcos is located in the city of San Marcos (please see a MAP of the area). Just outside the village, you will find the growing, vibrant city of San Marcos with a Crime Rate well below the U.S. average. Lake San Marcos by the way, enhances this safe environment with its own 24-hour security service. As previously stated, Lake San Marcos is only approximately 8 miles inland from the Pacific coast, far enough away to escape much of the coastal fog and morning overcast, but close enough for the gentle ocean breezes to affect its air temperature all year long. Its moderate temperatures, low afternoon relative humidity and low yearly rainfall combine to give Lake San Marcos a near-perfect year around Climate. Minutes away, you will find many stores containing life’s necessities and a wide choice of fine, moderately priced restaurants (more than 85 restaurants within 4 miles). Minutes away, you will also find a large movie theater, the newer Creekside Market Place and Grand Plaza shopping centers, a wide choice of places to worship, Palomar Community College and Cal State University @ San Marcos. A Kaiser Permanente Outpatient Medical Center is located approximately 3 miles away. The Palomar Medical Center is located 7 miles away and the Tri-City Medical center is located approximately 10 miles away. Carlsbad's McClellan-Palomar Airport that provides Air Taxi and Charter Services to most of the world is less than 5 miles away. Highway 78 (approximately 3 miles) provides easy access to North San Diego County's other cities, to its 19 public beaches, to San Diego (approximately 38 miles away), and to the rest of California. is pegged as "The Educational Heart of North San Diego County" for
being the home of both Palomar Community College and Cal State University @ San Marcos. |
A Great Place to Entertain Guests- Lake San Marcos is located only 38 miles from San Diego, one of California's most popular tourist destinations. Only 30 miles away is beautiful Mission Bay where you and your guests can visit the SeaWorld Adventure Park, take a dinner cruise on the Bahia Belle Sternwheeler, play at the Belmont Beachfront Amusement Park or just spend the day picnicking and playing in the sand at one of its beautiful beaches.

" General Description- Chateau Lake San Marcos is a full-service luxury condominium complex that caters to Seniors who want to and are able to live independently, prefer to live among their peers, desire additional security, but no longer want to maintain a home. It is a gated community built in the mid-1980s that consists of 137, one and two-bedroom, single-story homes in 2 and 3-story buildings. The condominium buildings surround a beautiful Community Center, a lap pool, shuffleboard court, a small but pristine lake and fountains. Chateau Lake San Marcos is a non-smoking community. The 1-bedroom homes are approximately 660 sq. ft. in size and the 2 bedroom homes 970 to 1030 sq. ft. The homes on the upper floors are accessible by an elevator. Each home has an assigned single-car carport. Golf cart and guest parking are also available. The homes are of upscale designs with fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, and one or more patios or balconies. Most have been well-maintained and some have been modernized and upgraded and some are simply gorgeous inside. Also, some homes have beautiful views of hills and valleys and of the well-maintained Community Center complex with its beautiful lake, fountains and lushly landscaped grounds. Security Features- ∙ A community gate and gatehouse with an on-site guard at night. ∙ A daily morning check (optional). ∙ A pull-cord emergency notification system in each home that can be used to alert the Care Center if someone needs attention. ∙ Emergency Lighting in hallways, stairwells and community center.
