Three Senior-Friendly Cities- |
|
AN OVERVIEW OF OUR INLAND TOWNS AND CITIES
North San Diego County's Inland Towns and Cities- Fallbrook, Valley
Center, Bonsall, Escondido and Rancho Bernardo are located 10 to 30 miles east of the
Pacific Coast. They have a wonderful sunny climate with warm summers, mild
winters and approximately 9 of 10 days of sunshine throughout the year.
Their average January daytime high temperatures are in the 60’s (°F) and nights
are in the low 40's. August highs are generally in the high 80's except for Valley Center and
parts of Escondido where they frequently creep into the high 90’s and above. Summer rainfall is sparse,
helping to keep the afternoon relative humidity low (in the 35-55% range) and making even hot days feel
fairly comfortable. Their terrains vary- Some areas are hilly, providing many homes with beautiful views
and providing irrigation water drainage for the huge number of avocado groves. Other areas are flat, or
with low, rolling hills that make them ideal for small family gardens, orchards and equestrian activities.
These Towns and Cities are comfortable and enjoyable places for active retirees to live-
Their Senior Centers, City Sponsored Activities and many Golf Courses offer a broad selection of
local activities for retired folks and their convenient locations allow participation in hundreds of
additional
Things to Do in neighboring areas and in nearby San Diego. In addition to all of
this, they have many fine, moderately-priced restaurants, a wide variety of shopping opportunities, a choice of excellent
Medical Facilities and the
Crime Rates
in many of their communities are well below US averages. |
