Here are some great local attractions and activities:
Sandy Beaches
in Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach or Del Mar,

Theme Park, Vista's
Wave Waterpark,

via Sandia Creek Drive through beautiful hills covered with avocado groves to Temecula and visit Temecula's
Old Town
and
Wine Country. Drive east
out of Escondido on Highway 78 to the unique village of
Julian, a nice place to shop for gifts and to enjoy a
slice of famous Julian
Apple Pie. Drive to
Palm Springs, explore this beautiful desert resort community and go for a ride on the famous
Palm Springs Ariel Tram, up 8000 feet to where the temperature is 40 degrees cooler. In season, visit
Anza Borrego State Park
to see the beautiful desert wild flowers when they are in bloom.
